We are pumped to announce that both Mitu Monteiro and his son Michael have joined the LiP Sunglasses family as team riders.
Most will be familiar with Mitu. Born in Santa Maria on the island of Sal in Cape Verde, his progression as a waterman started from a young age, initially with model sailboats, then on to windsurfing and finally kitesurfing. Today, he is a leading figure and ambassador in the kiteboarding community and boasts an impressive list of accomplishments including KPWT Wave Master Champion in 2008 and 4 times Vice Champion in the following years. Michael Jorge Monteiro learned to surf at the ripe old age of 2 years. Now aged 10, Michael is already taking the podium in International surf competitions and representing Italy in the shortboard U12 class. He is also an incredibly talented kitesurfer.
