Lens Tech
All ZEISS lenses are designed and tested under rigorous conditions to ensure they meet regulatory standards around the world, including ANSI (United States), EN-ISO (Europe) and AS/NZS (Australia / New Zealand). This testing includes high velocity mass impact testing.
All lenses are guaranteed to filter out harmful UVA and UVB rays. Except for lenses with an anti-fog coating, all lenses have hydrophobic, oleophobic and hard coatings on both front and rear lens surfaces. For lenses that are polarized, the polarization achieved is 99% unless otherwise stated.
Sustainability
The carbon footprint of this lens has been reduced by 50% compared to a fully fossil-fuel based manufacturing process. 39% of the raw materials for ZEISS nylon lenses has been replaced by bio-based materials (wood and agricultural waste products). The manufacturing process has been certified by RedCert2.
