FRAME
The SURGE frame is constructed using Grilamid TR90 – a virtually indestructible thermoplastic nylon that is lightweight, flexible and incredibly strong. This material absorbs and spreads impact force and then returns to its original shape.
In addition the SURGE frame incorporates overmolded rubber on the inside of the main frame in the bridge area and on the temple tips for extra comfort.
A patented anti-fogging system comprising cuttings in the lenses and venting channels in the upper and lower parts of the frame encourages airflow through and behind the lenses to improve ventilation and counteract fogging.
Finally, a FAILSAFE leash system guaranteed to work in all conditions will ensure that you stay connected to your sunglasses during a heavy wipeout.
LENSES
Equipped with either VIVIDE, LEVANTÉ or EcLiPse Series lenses, all LiP Sunglasses lenses are designed and tested under rigorous conditions to ensure they meet regulatory standards around the world, including ANSI (United States), EN-ISO (Europe) and AS/NZS (Australia / New Zealand). This testing includes high velocity mass impact testing.
All lenses (regardless of the Lens Series or function) are guaranteed to filter out harmful UVA and UVB rays. Except for lenses with an anti-fog coating, all lenses have hydrophobic, oleophobic and hard coatings on both front and rear lens surfaces. For lenses that are polarized, the polarization achieved is 98-99%.

Christine Sanders (Wellington, NZ) These glasses are great. Well made, lightweight and they look and feel good to wear. My eyes do not squint at all in the bright light – they feel relaxed and do not get sore.
M
Mathew Littledale Loving my second pair of Lip glasses, my first ones are on the ocean floor 😞. Saving my eyes from glare on the water for years to come.
M
Mateusz Zieja (Krakow, PL) Best kitesurfing sunglasses on the market I’ve tried!
K
K.H. (Vancouver, CA) These glasses are great. Really help with the sun glare and wind while jet boating.
d
derek eisnor (Saint Augustine, US) Needs a better headstrap similar to older Oakley water jackets. Otherwise comfortable and good for the current price point. Would easily pay additional 50-100 if more sturdy face fit for surfing activities.
